Filmed in South Dakota's Custer State Park, this preshistoric saga was directed by Umberto Lenzi who is best know for his trio of cannibal themed films - "The Man From Deep River", "Eaten Alive", and "Cannibal Ferox".
Bodybuilder Sam Pasco stars as Ala ... the villan Vuud's is played by actor George Eastman, who would later arm wrestle one of the Barbarian Brothers in 1987's "The Barbarians".
This movie was released the same year as "Yor - The Hunter From the Future" - starring Reb Brown as the loinclothed hero.
