Actor Sean Connery had previously appeared in "Tarzan's Greatest Adventure", and would later star in "Zardoz" and "Medicine Man".
The film featured Woody Strode as the Apache leader Chato. Strode had previously appeared in "Tarzan's Fight for Life", "Tarzan's Three Challenges", and in several episodes of the Ron Ely TARZAN series.
Based on a story by Louis L'Amour, the western was filmed in Spain and England.
