Premiering on the Spike cable network this three-part Canadian-American miniseries was based on the life of Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamun.

Starring Canadian actor Avan Jogia as Tutankhamun, the young Pharaoh of Egypt and British-Indian actor Ben Kingsley (Gandhi) as Ay, the Grand Vizier.

British actor Nonso Anozie (as General Horemheb) previously appeared with Jason Momoa (Chief of War) in the 2011 remake of Conan the Barbarian.

Screen credits of Alexander Siddig (as the High Priest of Amun) include the role of Hermes in the 2010 remake of Clash of the Titans starring Sam Worthington (Avatar).

The production filmed on locations in the Ouarzazate Province in the region of Drâa-Tafilalet, south-central Morocco.
