Directed by Gianfranco Parolini this peplum classic stars Brad Harris as Samson and Alan Steel as Macigno (aka: Hercules).

Italian actor Carlo Tamberlani (as Botan) previously appeared in the films The Last Days of Pompeii (1959) and Son of Samson (1960).

This was the second film in 1961 for Franco Gasparri, the first being Goliath Against the Giants (also starring Brad Harris).

Brad Harris, Alan Steel, Carlo Tamberlani, and Franco Gasparri were all cast in 1962's The Fury of Hercules, which was also directed by Gianfranco Parolini.

Franco Gasparri passed in 1999 at the age of 50.
