Original Italian title: Due gocce d'acqua salata (Two drops of salt water).

Inspired by the box-office success of The Blue Lagoon (1980) the film stars Fabio Meyer (his first film) and Sabrina Siani as the two survivors of a crashed airliner who are stranded on a tropical island.

Co-directed by Luigi Russo and Enzo Doria, whose next film production was 1983's Adam and Eve starring Mark Gregory and Ángel Alcázar.

Other 1982 films of actress Sabrina Siani include Gunan, King of the Barbarians, The Sword of the Barbarians, and Ator: The Fighting Eagle (starring Tarzan actor Miles O'Keeffe).

Also appearing is actor Mario Pedone whose other screen appearances include roles in 1982's Incontro nell'ultimo paradiso (with Sabrina Siani) and 1984's She.

Filmed on location in the Republic of Seychelles, an archipelagic country consisting of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean.
