This was one of three Hercules films released in 2014, the other two being The Legend of Hercules starring Kellan Lutz and Hercules starring Dwayne Johnson.

The direct-to-video production filmed on locations in the Ouarzazate Province of south-central Morocco.

Christian Oliver passed in 2024 at the age of 51.
